Fantastic location and a beautiful hotel with a very cosmopolitan breakfast which was very impressive. Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. One drawback if you are arriving by car the parking is very limited and we had major problems trying to find the overspill car park- a ‘take and pick up service’ would be perfect here.
I realised it some times when i sit on the roulette machines, someone from the cashier they do something to the machine and there is a bell that rings on the machine and after that it affects your game and u can't win big, i am their old customer and they did it to me many times, all the cashiers here are miserable people and some of the waitresses as well, the Grosvenor on Broad Street is quite better than here!!!! ????
Stayed here with colleagues whilst on business. Nice hotel especially walking into the hotel lobby. Lovely feel and atmosphere. The room was spacious and a view of the canal.
I asked if I could view it and they showed me the footage, I was absolutely mortified and tried to explain that it was an honest mistake, I couldn’t believe I’d done it. They said can you see how it looks to us, to which I replied Yes and that I was so sorry. They called security to escort myself and my husband out of the casino! I apologised to the lady who’s chip it was and explained the situation. I felt absolutely humiliated and an injustice. I’d like to thank them for kicking us out and not giving themselves the chance to win back the winnings we took home and for letting me get escorted out of the building at the grand age of 53 ...like a young Rebel and I’m not sorry for my potty mouth afterwards! I shall never step foot in one of their casinos again....they need to give their staff some training in customer service!
Well went to view a movie, tickets purchased in advance. Feel a bit claustrophobic entering into the cinema area. Screen was dirty top right but still could view movie ok. Overall good experience
If you're not too fussed about the cost, you can easily keep the kids entertained for the whole day.
The rooms are large with great views over the city, mini fridge, and the usual other facilities, the bed is comfortable and feather pillows. We stayed in a standard room, which could do with refurbishment, it looks dated and had shower over bath and a toilet behind the door in the bathroom. Good overall experience but rooms need Londres slots to be updated in line with the public spaces.
Stayed here, back in November and really loved the stay. The staff were super friendly and surprisingly was 1 minute away from the main new street, which was a bonus! The free coffee and hot chocolate was a massive bonus! and the kitchen within the apartment hotel were very good!
The club room gives you access too the club lounge for a few hours in the evening with complimentarily drinks and snacks available which was hosted by Nevin who is honestly a fantastic ambassador for your hotel providing great service . I also visited the hotel bar later in the evening and they make great cocktails. The breakfast was great provided in a beautiful surrounding with eggs cooked freshly . Vegetarian options are available too. And the breakfast staff really wanted you to enjoy your meal.
But I can honestly say this is one of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel. The cooked breakfast was hot, tasty and quality. And the selection available was great (even crumpets!). Good coffee too (and available 24 hours a day).

But all machines were easy to use, clear instructions. The staff were really helpful, and with this being the first time we’d been to Birmingham and stayed in this type of accommodation we had plenty of questions! Genuinely they couldn’t have done more for us. The location was great as well - as others have said, the peace and quiet was there despite being so close to the city centre. Right round the corner from the building and central station, with lots of arcades and food areas nearby. Would absolutely recommend staying here - whatever the weather!
Watched a few people empty rubbish out of their cars and dump it on the floor - this was just after arriving and parking up. The multi storey car park was in darkness and had builders yard fencing in front of it. The car park is full of badly parked cars. The mindset of the people here was embarrassing - people eating and dropping food and litter despite standing within a few feet of the bins.
The room has a little kitchen which is an addition, also they have a launderette that you can use for free ???? (just bring you detergent). The breakfast is good as well with variety of pastries, hot and cold drinks, fruits.
